Best Registry Fix Online

You do need to be CAREFUL when using a registry cleaning program. It will have full access to your computer. It can download anything it wants to right into your computer once you click the “Allow” button.

Although this is an easy download and scan there is a little difference in procedures depending on whether you have an XP, Vista or Win7 operating system.

Let’s go through the scanning procedure:
[Note: this is what you do after clicking an PC Cleaner link and a new window opens on the PC Cleaner site. This site will remain open on a different tab so you can easily look back to use the steps below for help.]

After clicking on the orange Free Download button (see pic left) you will see a computer box pop up that will ask you to “Save” or “Run” (or just “Save”). You should SAVE it. Saving to your PC is a concern to a lot of people… but as I said, you are giving the program access to your computer. It is OK, this is safe… click Save. The program will then download onto your computer but on some OS setups it will not open unless you open it from the Download box.

slow computer helpSome download boxes have a “run” for you to click... others you will need to double click on the PC Cleaner name.

Now many computers will have the Account Control box pop up… depending on your settings… go to “Continue”. Next check to accept the License Agreement and then the location for the file to be placed.. recommended C/Programs/pccleaner is good (only 38 MB)… and Install.

system junkAfter installation is complete you will chick Finish. The registry program is now loaded and ready to do the scan. It asks you to let it do a complete scan since this the first time it has scanned your computer. Yes, again. You can make changes later.

Notice the number of Junk files found… yes that’s 45,810. This was taken from a computer I scanned a few weeks ago. We will talk more about the options you have when you have finished with the free scan in the next post.
